Frequently asked questions
How is a Spanish postal code structured?
A Spanish postal code has five digits. The first two identify the province (28 Madrid, 08 Barcelona, 41 Seville), the last three the delivery zone.
How do I find my postal code?
Type your street and house number into the search box - the exact code appears instantly. You can also browse by municipality and street.
Who manages postal codes in Spain?
Postal codes are managed by Correos. The address data on this site comes from the Spanish Cadastre (INSPIRE open data).
Why are the Basque Country and Navarre missing?
Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Navarre keep their own foral cadastres outside the national Cadastre. We plan to add their data later.
Can one street have several postal codes?
Yes, especially in large cities: the code can change along a street. Always check the exact house number.
